Living and loving God we thank you that we can turn to you in any and every situation, and trust you with all of our days. We continue to stand with people all over the world as we pray for your intervention against the Coronavirus.

We pray this virus would start to slow down and that a vaccine would soon be discovered and made quickly available.

We pray for families and friends who have lost loved ones to this virus, comfort and console them we pray. We pray for those who are dying, be their hope and their refuge, and bring them comfort and peace we pray.

God, would you draw near to those who have been diagnosed with the Coronavirus. We pray for their healing, and that they would know your peace as they recover.

We pray for families who are worried for loved ones, may all find their strength in you.

We pray for all those in the NHS on the frontline, that you would bless and protect them and keep them safe as they look after those infected with the virus.

We pray for our leaders, our Prime Minister Boris Johnson and First Minister Nicola Sturgeon. God grant them wisdom in all their decision making. We commit them and their colleagues to you.

We pray for all those who are worried about the future financially with uncertainty over jobs and income. God, be their comforter and provider.

We pray for children and young people who are isolated at home, that they would be protected from fear and anxiety and know that you have a plan and a wonderful future for them.

We pray your angels to watch over us all. Especially any children and young people who feel vulnerable in their home situations, God be their shield and protector.

We pray for our communities. Teach us how to love one another, and be kind and caring. Enable us to look out for others, to say kind words, to volunteer to help where we can.

We pray for our congregations who miss meeting for worship and being in fellowship. God fill every home and heart with your presence.

We pray for every pastor and leader who is concerned for their congregation. Give courage in stepping into new ways of doing and being church. Give grace that all may radiate faith and trust in you and not fear the unknown but step forward in your strength.

We pray for pastors who are on sick leave or signed off from work and carry unnecessary guilt that they are unavailable. Free them from any lie of the enemy about their worth, and let them be re-assured, rested, and restored in Jesus’ name.

We pray that we would grow in our faith and our walk with you. For holiness and purity to come to our lives and for a renewed love and passion for people and our world.

We pray for ourselves and all who feel anxious, stressed or fearful. May we choose faith and not fear, trusting you implicitly with every area of our lives. “Cast all your anxiety on Him, because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen

Heavenly Father, in these days of confusion and uncertainty I will continue to praise you and worship you with all that I am. Show me your ways Lord as I navigate this disruption to my life and normal spiritual walk with you. May your word be opened to me in new and exciting ways as I have more time to sit in your presence. Ignite my prayer life as I intercede for others as well as myself. May I discover the joy of time to sit in your presence and of the wonder of personal praise and worship. You are so worthy Lord. Bless my life and be glorified in all I do and say that I might be a blessing to those around me. Help me use this time to practice new ways and rhythms of life and reset the balance of work, life, family, rest and relaxation.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight”. (Proverbs 3:5-6 )

I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen

Thank you God that you love this world, and care for every person in it, including my community. Pour out your blessing, your Spirit, and your protection and peace over my community I pray. May we find new ways to express kindness and care for one another. May we have fresh eyes to really see everyone as you see them. May we be fearless to wave, to smile, to help, to volunteer. Bless our community with compassion and grace and peace. May no one go hungry or homeless. May we all be faithful to follow the guidelines of governmental advice for our own protection. We ask for and invite your blessing upon all in Jesus’ name.

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God”. (1 John 4:7)

Lord, you are the Great Shepherd of the sheep. Thank you that you are watching over every congregation and parish, and even more so during these times of not being able to meet together. Bless the children who find themselves without the routine of school. Bless all families who may be carrying various worries and cares. Answer the prayers of all those who are needing provisions and help them connect to the available resources and foodbanks in their area. Bless all those who are single and live alone and may be missing community. Bless and be with all our elderly who have no choice but to stay at home.

God, we pray that you would keep our faith strong. Keep us connected through prayer and through any communications we can use. Thank you for the people of God I serve amongst. Lord, help me to keep handing over the weight of worrying about my congregation to you. Bless us and keep us, cause your face to shine upon us and be gracious to us, lift up your countenance upon us and give us your peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep….I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me- just as the Father knows me and I know the Father–and I lay down my life for the sheep. (John 10:11,14-15)

I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen

Lord, will you bless my family. Help me to see with fresh eyes what a gift family is. I am truly thankful. Will you give us grace to love one another well, even with issues or tensions around us. Help us appreciate each other every day, love freely, and forgive unconditionally.

Jesus, I commit my family to you and ask that all of us would know you and be as one in you. Wherever my loved ones are, I commit them to you and to your care. May we grow together in our relationships with each other and with you. Will you watch over us in this season of being apart and keep us bound together in love. Bless us, protect us, and keep us all safe.

From everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children. (Psalm 103:17)

I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen
